Let's go on a journey; it's only 31 days, but it could last a lifetime. Who knows what you'll find. Peace, joy, comfort, struggle—all of this and more is encapsulated in God's Word. And Praying Scripture was written to help you encounter whatever God has in store.
There are 31 entries, one for each day of the month. Starting at day 1 and ending on 31 will help ideas build; however, you can pick up the book and begin anywhere.
Read from beginning to end, your Praying Scripture journey starts with self-examination. Transformation, purpose and surrender come next, with prayer and faith following. Gifts, humility, guidance, trust and obedience are then tackled, moving on to strength and purpose. Worship, courage and again surrender bring you to service and perseverance. Your confident access to God is the final theme.
Praying Scripture is filled with verses that I pray frequently, some of them daily. They have provided sustenance, joy and hope in my life. God's Word is alive and working; I want to share that gift with you.

TL has a strong faith and deep knowledge of the scriptures, which show in her letters. Her enthusiasm and creative approach touch the hearts of her readers, and her contemporary style of writing appeals to younger inmates as well as the more mature ones.
As a prison chaplain myself, I find these letters to be a very helpful addition to my ministry. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the letters myself!

THINGS I'VE LEARNED ABOUT GOD FROM PARENTING MY KIDS

This wondrously imaginative chapter book is SO MUCH FUN. My boys (9 and 5) and I just finished reading it together and I highly recommend it. Children will enjoy the adventures of young King Max and his fascinating friends, including Sir Jake the wise knight, a well-meaning amateur magician named Milliesplendillie and her talking hat, Shroom, Jerome the gentle giant, and a bunch of mischievous elves whose practical jokes made my kids laugh out loud.

I loved what an engaging read this was, and the fact that my boys were learning new words (for example “doldrums” and “spelunking”) and little lessons about why it’simportant to take care of your teeth and get enough sleep every night. Delightfullywhimsical, creative and informative at the same time. We can’t wait for the sequel!
